Though there are many benefits to practicing yoga and meditation, these offerings are an invitation to practice with the mind of zen, a clear mind, an empty mind. They are an invitation to practice just for the sake of practice without gain, goal, expectation or purpose. When practicing postures “just posture”, breathing “just breathing”, sitting “just sitting”. with nothing to attain and forgetting all expectations, results and benefits, the many gifts are here and now. Here practice is the goal and the heart of practice is compassion.
Private Sessions
A private session of gentle, peaceful and meditative yoga allowing you the attention you need in order to design a practice, tailored specifically for you and incredibly beneficial to helping devise a regular daily home practice. sessions generally last 60-90 minutes and can take place indoors or outdoors (yard, park, etc.), in the comfort of my home, your own home or office. alternately, I can arrange to meet at a studio or other public place, library, community center, etc.
One on One Group Classes
Series based classes that include four beginner’s sessions followed by eight gentle, slow paced, peaceful, meditative open class sessions that help encourage proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality while fostering peace, unity, calm and compassion in body and mind. in relaxing and letting go, peace and happiness are already present. especially beneficial for those interested in developing and maintaining a regular daily practice of yoga and meditation.
Supervised Self Practice-Class and Series
Series based classes that are guided/supervised self practice moving through the practice at one's own pace and level (like mysore but less fixed sequence and more customized to student), taught one on one in a group setting allowing, customized over time to fit one's body and goals. Students turn up at any time within a three-hour window to do their own practice as taught by their teacher. You go at your own pace, on your own breath.
